So, years ago Jenny and I were shooting at a place in American Fork called the Northampton House. After the ceremony, Jenny decided to go to some random place and get us some food. She is a shake-o-holic and she claims the smaller the joint, the better the shakes. She brought me some food back after the shoot and our lives have never been the same.
The burger joint...? JCWs.
This is the home to my favorite burger: The Bleu Bacon Burger. The rings are fantastic. The sauces are divine. The shakes (per Jenny) are wonderful. And lastly, never take food advice from a skinny person, this place is the real deal. But sadly, it is far away and we don't get down there for dinner often. It is, however, worth the drive.
Jump ahead.
On Tuesday, I was shooting a bridal at Thanksgiving Point and, as I was passing the Maverick right off the freeway exit, I saw the sign:
GLORY... Oh happy day! There was a new, OPEN, JCWs! Only 15 minutes from my house! Today, we packed up the car and went to the new, happiest place on earth. The food was awesome, I saw the manager and he recognized me, I shook his hand and blessed him, and then we all enjoyed a terrific meal.
Alex likes the place for different reasons...
Do you have a favorite place to eat?
I love that you have blogs on food! We have never been there and will have to try it when we come to Utah next. We have a list of restaurants we are always craving and can do nothing to fulfill it.
Great another place I need to give a try- if it is that good I guess I'd better. I am also a shake lover- they have to be thick not runny. Just like Nelson's Frozen Custard's Concrete's- now that is a shake!
Two local spots come to mind ... El Farol's and Cowboy Grub. Yum!
I have been to JCW's and their food is good. I'll have to try the new location!
I agree with Jenny - the smaller, and sometimes more run down, the better when it comes to burger joints.
Favorite place? Hmmm... Paradise Bakery comes to mind first.
